Built for the way Northridge actually looks

Northridge has more architectural variety than almost any neighbourhood we work in. On one block you'll find a Palmer & Krisel mid-century modern with clerestory windows and a butterfly roofline — part of the famous Living-Conditioned Homes tract near Reseda and Devonshire. Two streets over there's a Mediterranean estate with stucco walls and clay tile roofing. Down toward the CSUN campus, you've got palm-lined streets of classic California ranch homes built during the Valley's postwar boom.

Northridge was once known as the horse capital of the West, drawing Hollywood celebrities who built their ranches here, and that history of larger-than-average lots and mature landscaping still shows up throughout the neighbourhood. Warm-white holiday lighting tends to suit all of it because it's architectural rather than theatrical.

Local Notes

What we keep in mind in Northridge

Palmer & Krisel mid-century homes

The Living-Conditioned Homes tract features low-pitched roofs and dramatic overhanging eaves — we tailor roofline lighting placement to these specific architectural details.

Mediterranean & estate properties

Several large custom estates mix Mediterranean stucco with French country steep gables — these properties have the lot size for wrapped palms, entry columns, and perimeter lighting.

Palm-lined ranch streets

Northridge's postwar ranch neighbourhoods have towering palms along residential streets — uplighting a row of palms is one of the most dramatic looks we do.

Sherwood Forest neighbourhood

One of Northridge's most desirable pockets, Sherwood Forest has generous lots and well-established trees ideal for full trunk-to-canopy wrapping.

Common Questions

Northridge holiday lighting, answered

Decorative string light divider

Do you work with mid-century modern homes specifically?

Yes — mid-century rooflines with dramatic overhangs and low pitches need a more thoughtful approach than standard eave lighting. We plan placement around the actual architectural details of your home.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking by early November for Northridge installs. Our calendar fills up fast heading into the holidays, though we'll always try to fit in a later request if our schedule allows.

What happens if a bulb goes out mid-season?

Just give us a call or send a quick text with the address — we offer free repairs all season long for everything we install.

Do you handle takedown too?

Yes. We come back after the season, take everything down, and store it for you so it's ready to go again next year.
